So retro

The french looking-like christian name of the boy is caracteristic of the beheavior turned back to the soviet collectivist regime in Eastern Germany. Two hundred years ago Berlin was inhabited by a mainly protestant french community. At the court the french language was spoken, you could use the german language to "speak to the horses and the servants". 
This car was nearly able to survive Eastern Germany, some changes were foreseen: an air-cooled motor (Citroën delivered the factory), but Eastern-Germany was not able to bring the concrete in time ... the project was canceled.
The plastic body of the car did not rust, it was an energy saving car long time before people were speaking about ecology, but had an oil-spitting 2 stroke motor; you could see were the car passed, just following the blue cloud or the smell f burnt oïl. The number on the plate in the back of the car is an original one from Eastern-Germany. The excess of the red color in the photography is not a sign for a communist country, but a sign of the 'east-german-quality'!
In these time, when you ordered a car, you would be happy when the delivery of the car took place 4 years later! This is a "de luxe" car with a red fog-light and white light in the back.
I often traveled behind the "iron curtain", beeing an interpreter & translator.
